After fifty years of expansion and great success, the Lladró founding brothers are inspired by the arrival of the new millenium and consider their opportunities of succession by bringing their children, Rosa, Mary Carmen and Vicente, to the new Board of Directors in 2003.

Lladró arrived into the new century as among Spain’s wealthiest families. Their new strategy of expanding beyond its porcelain business started in 2001 with the acquisition of the noted Spanish jewelry designer Carrera y Carrera. This new decade brings the Humanitis, Home Decor and Ebony collections to fulfillment.
IMAGINATION FRATERNITAS RENOVATION
Imagination – “A reflection of man’s dreams, his aspirations and goals. Imagination is a reflection of man’s ideals. The large decorated wings reveal a language in which perfection of modeling and use of color suggest a very particular vision of reality. And in it, dreams also leave their mark.”
Fraternitas – “Brotherhood drives the world Fraternitas as a tribute to friendship among people, to the trust we place in friends. The work expresses how, thanks to brotherhood, we keep the world going. The word “friendship” is written in several languages across Earth’s five continents. It is testimony to the presence everywhere of a universal value. The symbolism transforms into poetry that reveals its meaning just by looking at the pieces of the Humanitas collection.”
Renovation – “Life is full of stages. Almost without realizing it, we go through different stages in life. When one ends, another begins. The changes teach us to reach goals that seemed impossible. Excitement over a new path makes hope spring again each day. The ivy that covers the rock, a symbol of immortality, recalls that renewal is the key to enjoying life.”
The “home decor” includes lighting fixtures, bathroom elements, table settings and fragrances collections.

The Aura Ebony Collection represents “…the essence of all beings, a luminous halo surrounding us and extending us beyond the limits of our bodies. It is also a song to the nobility hidden behind the guise of simplicity. The Aura Collection, is an example of the new artistic trails being blazed by Lladró. These pieces are all full of symbolism and express essential ideas about life. Ebony look alludes to the noble timber used for carving since ancient times as expression of art and perdurability.”
LIFE MEMORY GUIDE
In the pursue of maximum artistic levels, Lladró creates the High Porcelain Collection. The Queen of the Nile, 63 inches long, is the largest piece ever to come out of the porcelain workshop. This masterpiece, by sculptor Juan Carlos Ferri Herrero, required five years to be created, four hundred hours to be painted and around one hundred and fifty hours to combine the twelve figurines, representing Nefertiti, the Great Royal Wife of Pharos Ramsey II, with her children and attendants in an amazing Egyptian vessel, gloriously navigating down the Nile.

By 2007, Juan Lladró, the senior founder, together with his daughters Rosa and Ángeles, take over the ownership of the Lladró Enterprise, that includes not only the Lladró and Nao porcelains, but also the jewelry business by the noted Spanish jewelry designer Carrera y Carrera.
